Jolanda Estes
Hi, I’m Jolanda Estes, the founder of In Home Music Academy. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve been blessed enough to turn that passion into a lifelong career. With over 20 years of experience teaching and performing, I’ve had the joy of helping students discover their own love for music.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from Kent State University. Over the years, I’ve taught a variety of instruments—piano, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, and voice—and worked with students of all ages, from beginners to advanced musicians.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me performing with groups like the North Miami Pops, where I serve as the principal alto saxophonist and Associate Conductor, or the Broward Symphonic Band. I’ve also had incredible opportunities to perform internationally, including with Dragefjellets Musikkorps in Norway.
Beyond music, I love spending time in the kitchen, going to shows, and even solving a Rubik’s Cube as fast as I can!
