Juan torres

Juan Torres is an international active guitar player and educator with over 7 years of experience. He began his journey as a musician at a young age, playing at church with his brothers, listening to his family venture into classical music, and quickly discovering his love for music. His education includes a high school diploma from Dillard high school and an associate degree in arts with a focus in jazz studies. He has experience teaching both piano and guitar from beginning to advanced levels including adults. 

At Dillard High School, Juan had the opportunity to hone his skills under the guidance of Mr. Christopher Dorsey. Juan as guitarist has had the opportunity of attending competitions like the Essentially Ellington as a member of a big band orchestra, as well as playing locally with both high school and community big band at Broward College. 

During his time at college, Juan became a part of the community big band under the guidance of Mr. Waldron Dunkley and Mr. Jason Furman.

Today, Juan is playing locally in south Florida with great musicians. Besides teaching and performing, Juan enjoys going to concerts and watching volleyball games.
